Khunjerab Pass Covered in White as It Sees Season’s First Snowfall

Khunjerab Top, the renowned mountain pass along the Pakistan-China border, experienced its first snowfall of the season this Monday. The sudden shift in weather transformed the picturesque valley into a breathtaking white landscape.

While the snowfall brought a noticeable drop in temperature, it also drew tourists eager to enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the snow-draped peaks. Visitors flooded social media with photos and videos showcasing the region’s stunning scenery.

According to the Met Office, most parts of Pakistan are expected to remain dry in the coming days. However, a fresh westerly system may bring rainfall to northern regions starting October 3.

Meanwhile, southeastern Sindh could see isolated thundershowers later in the day, while the rest of the country will likely stay mostly dry.

The early snowfall at Khunjerab marks the beginning of the winter season—offering spectacular views for tourists but posing familiar challenges for residents in the high-altitude areas.
