Encouraging News for Pilgrims Missing This Year’s Hajj

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a relief policy for registered pilgrims who may be unable to travel for Hajj due to unavoidable circumstances. This initiative has been widely welcomed as a compassionate step to support those facing hardships.

Under the new guidelines, if a registered pilgrim cannot perform Hajj because of serious illness or death, an immediate family member will be allowed to take their place.

Additionally, pilgrims who are unable to travel will have two other options:

  • They may nominate another individual to perform Hajj on their behalf.
  • Or they may request a refund of their deposited funds.

To ensure transparency, applicants must provide supporting documents such as medical or death certificates, proof of payment, and an affidavit confirming their request.

Officials explained that these requirements are designed to verify genuine cases and prevent unnecessary delays in processing applications.

The ministry highlighted that the purpose of this policy is to ease financial burdens and guarantee smooth facilitation for affected families.

For many, this development brings peace of mind, knowing that their long-awaited Hajj opportunity—or the funds they invested—will not go to waste.
