The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has announced an increase in the monthly fee structure for its partner schools. This adjustment applies to schools operating under the Foundation-Assisted Schools program, the Education Voucher Scheme, and the New School Program.
The revised fee rates will take effect from September 2025. According to PEF, the change has been introduced to help schools cope with rising operational expenses and the impact of inflation. The updated structure aims to ensure that schools can continue running smoothly while providing a stable learning environment for students.
Under the new plan, monthly fees will start at Rs. 800 for students from Nursery up to Class II, and gradually rise to Rs. 2,200 for Intermediate Science students. The structure is designed to reflect the varying educational levels and resources required at each stage.
Along with the fee adjustments, PEF has directed partner schools to revise teacher honorariums. This move is intended to fairly support teachers for their dedication and hard work. By improving teacher compensation, PEF hopes to enhance both the quality of teaching and the overall learning experience for students.
The foundation stressed that these measures aim to strike a balance between the needs of schools, teachers, and students. It emphasized that sustaining quality education requires ensuring fair support for staff while also keeping learning affordable and accessible for families.
